Artist Bio
John creates intimate, small-scale watercolor paintings that feel like quiet gifts from another world. Working at a miniature size invites closeness,
each piece asking the viewer to lean in, slow down, and share a gentle moment of attention. Though small in scale, the paintings carry emotional weight,
often capturing wonder, softness, and fleeting beauty in just a few inches of space.
John lives and creates with Tourette's Syndrome, ADHD, and OCD, and these neurological rhythms are not separate from the art, they are woven into its making.
A unique motor tic affects his right hand specifically when he begins to paint or draw. Where many would be forced to stop, John has developed a practice of
painting through the movement. The act of creating becomes a point of focus strong enough to quiet the urge to put the brush down. The result is work that
holds a subtle energy, a living line, a human vibration, that cannot be replicated by stillness alone.
Each tiny painting stands as a small act of persistence and generosity. They are reminders that beauty can come from working with the body rather than against it,
and that art can be both a grounding force and a quiet triumph.
